I know, I know. It's not May. But that's the last time I blogged. And in Stake Conference today, we were reminded how important journaling is. So I've decided to repent and update my journal/blog on the last 6 months of life. Prepare yourself now for an overload.

Karie Anne's opened! Seriously, the best thing to ever happen to me. I went multiple times a week. Sometimes twice a day.

Kelp came to visit! So we went to a freshman dance party.

Then out to the Teton Dam for a dam adventure. #instadam

And of course church.

Flag football started! This is the game where Ives got a concussion and ended up in the hospital. But we try to forget about that part.

To end the month, my car broke down... AGAIN. I have never had problems with Tori, but every time I come to Idaho she decides to break. This time I had to replace the starter, for the second time since I started college.

So, yeah. May was a good month.

Spring Break 2015

Okay, I know this is a little late. That seems to be the theme of my life. But it's better late than never, right?

I had decided during winter semester that I wasn't going to go home for spring break this year. It's just not worth it when you don't have any friends there anymore. And I just spent a good 3.5 months with my family. So I figured spring break would be spent in Utah with my BFF.

When I called to see if that was cool, she said we should go down to CA together. I was immediately on board. Our plan was to just go for four days. We ended up being there for a week. I'm not complaining. It was much needed.

So here's to the spring break we never had!

The way down wasn't bad, but maybe because we were going so fast? I never knew Hill was such a speed demon. You learn something new every day...

We planned to go to Glen Ivy Hot Springs, but when we got there it was PACKED. So it turned into BFF & Moms time. Manis and pedis. Lunch. Laying poolside. I was perfectly content with this.

I love getting to see some of my family I don't get to see very often. I had a blast playing with my little cousins and seeing my favorite. And of course lunch with the grandparents is always a good time, especially when your grandma wears zebra sunglasses.

The best part of CA: THE BEACH! Thank goodness we had such great weather. Nothing beats laying out, eating ice cream, and having teenage girl photo shoots with your BFF while at the beach. I got dumped that day, so this made it all better! Of course I'm still pasty white and don't expect to get my tan back any time soon... :(

Going home means eating out...ALOT! Idaho just doesn't have all of the restaurants and fast food places that I need to satisfy my cravings. It wouldn't be a successful trip without Islands, In N Out, and Chipotle. Let's be real, California is on top of their game when it comes to food.

The trip home was much too long. I'm not sure what was so painful about it, but we were both just so ready to get to Utah. Those 10 hours felt like 20. And then I sill had four more until Rexburg. So I arrived back home at 4 am.

I'm so grateful I was able to go home for a week, spend time with my BFF and our families, and catch some sun. It really was the perfect trip.

Conference Weekend!

I absolutely LOVE General Conference! There's nothing better than being able to hear the words of living prophets and apostles. And it ALWAYS seems to come at the right time.

This conference was extra special. I was able to go down to Utah and meet my family there! They have never been to conference, so we got tickets for the Sunday morning session. 

I had no idea how much I missed my family until I saw them. And I was reunited with a bunch of the families that I had grown up with -The Parry's, The Greenwoods, and The Halls. We had some people missing due to missions, school, and work, but here's the gang!

My parents brought Les his dragster tires and he brought the smallest car he had to bring them back. We didn't think he'd be able to fit them, but somehow he managed!

Saturday morning we went to breakfast before conference. The boys participated in the pancake challenge. Unfortunately, none of them were able to complete it.

When watching conference at home, things can get a bit crazy. Either everyone is paying attention, sleeping, or being obnoxious. Well, my dad is the perfect example. This is what he does during conference...

He sleeps. He shoots darts at people. He pretends to lead the music. He's fun. I love him.

Sunday was conference day!! 

Let me tell you, I loved being able to go with my family! And of course, it was a gorgeous day! So that helped out a lot. AND IT WAS EASTER! What better way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ than being able to go to General Conference and spend time with family!

We had EXCELLENT seats. I'm not sure how we scored them. We were about 10 rows (if that) from the front. We sat next to Sister Elaine S. Dalton. I saw President Bennett from the Europe East Area Presidency, and many of the general authorities wives and families were in close proximity. It was incredible. There is just such a unique spirit that can be felt when in the presence of so many of the Lord's servants. I feel so grateful that I was able to attend this year. It was the perfect break from life and the push I needed to be able to make it through finals this week!

R Mountain

One thing I REALLLLLLLY wanted to do this semester was hike R Mountain to watch the sunset. I have hiked it before, but never to watch the sunset. We have beautiful sunsets in Idaho and I just thought it would be so cool. One night we planned to go, we didn't have the best weather, so we opted out. That was unfortunate because it was seriously the prettiest sunset! But Matt and I were able to go with Ivie and Lance when he came to town. The sunset wasn't as great as it could have been, but it was still such a great evening. A little windy, but perfect.

Can life really get any better than this? I don't think so.

We do homework.

We watch movies.

We cook dinner together.

We play games.

We drink hot chocolate.

We go to the arcade.

We take pictures.

We go to devotional.

 We laugh a lot.

We are just living it up.

He won't be here spring semester. He has his internship in California. So we are making the best of our time together while we can. Life is fun with him.
